SHARE: A Brilton Madley Game

Scripture: "Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else." II Corinthians 9:13
Theme: Sharing is more than about things.
Props: A Game board, game pieces to move on the board, a pair of dice, Cards (Small index cards cut in half)
Scene: Opens with 3 older children sitting at a table with a game board, a 4th child walks in…
Player #1: OK, it's my move!
Player #2: Not until I pass "Free Sharing."
Player #3: Not again!
Player #4: (Walking in) Hey, can I play, too?
Player #1: Sure, we need one more, come on. (Player #4 quickly sits down and joins the game)
Player #2: (Rolls dice and moves piece) Oh good! I get a "Sharing Opportunity Card!" (Draws a card and reads it aloud) "Share something you like about the person on your left." Hmmm I like your eyes… they really compliment your mouth. (All players giggle)
Player #3: My turn! (Rolls dice and moves a game piece) YES! I landed on "Sharing Chance!" (Draws a card and reads it aloud) Share your favorite bible verse. OK. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart." Proverbs 3: 5
Player #4: Hey, this is easy. Here goes! (Rolls the dice and moves a game piece). Sharing Tax…Not good.
Player #1: THAT means that you have to share something good that God has done in your life.
Player #4: I don't want to. I'm not sharing that!
Player #2: Ooops! Sorry, but you have to go to "Sharing Jail."
All: (Except #4) Do not pass Go, do not collect any blessings!
Player #4: (Sadly) No way. How do I get out?
Player #1: You have to be willing to share the blessings you've received.
Player #2: Or…
Player #4: Or what?
Player #3: You have to stay in "Sharing Jail" for the rest of the game.
Player #4: But if I share my blessings, I won't have any left.
Player #2: Not true. Sometimes blessing can be material things, but many times they are things we have on the inside.
Player #1: In the Bible, it also says that people will praise God just because we share with them!
Player #4: Really? Wow! Then…I am blessed to have good friends like you three.
All: GET OUT OF JAIL FREE!
Player #4: Now THAT was easy.
